\nHigh School Graduation Parade Routes &\; Road Closures
\n\nMinden\, Nevada- The Douglas County Sheriff&rsquo\;s Office will facilitate the road closures and procession route the graduates take during the high school commencement ceremonies. Please remember the streets will be closed to traffic at approximately 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Detours around the parade routes will be available and are listed in detail below. ********ONLY VEHICLES INVOLVED IN THE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION WILL BE ALLOWED ON 395***** VEHICLES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARK ALONG THE PARADE ROUTE FOR EVERYONE'\;S SAFETY*****
\n\nDouglas High School-
\n\nThe commencement parade begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday\, June 6th. Starting around 8:30 a.m. the roads along the parade route will be closed to traffic as cars of graduating students&rsquo\; line up to travel from the Douglas County Community &\; Senior Center to Douglas High School.

\n\nNorthbound: U.S. 395\, Buckeye Road to Orchard to Toler Ave to Waterloo Lane
\n\nSouthbound: U.S. 395 Waterloo Lane to Toler Ave to Orchard to Buckeye Road
\n\nParade Route-
\n\nBeginning at the Douglas County Community Center
\n\nRight on Waterloo Lane to U.S. Highway 395
\n\nLeft on U.S. Highway 395 to Esmeralda Avenue
\n\nLeft on Esmeralda Avenue to Eighth Street
\n\nLeft on Eighth Street to County
\n\nRight on County Road to State Route 88
\n\nStraight at State Route 88 through roundabout to Mahogany Drive
\n\nRight at Douglas High School west parking lot
\n\nEnding at Douglas High School
\n\nAlong with the Douglas High School graduation parade route\, the Douglas County Sheriff&rsquo\;s Office would like to notify the public about the other high school parade routes and effected road closures.
\n\nAspire High School-
\n\nThe Aspire graduates will start off the commencement parade\, Saturday\, June 6th.
\n\nGeorge Whittell High School-
\n\nThe commencement parade begins at 10 a.m. on Friday\, June 19th. Starting around 9:30 a.m. Highway 50 will turn to one lane as students the road along the parade route will be one lane as cars of graduating students travel from the Kahle Community Center to Whittell High School.
