FREE for all children ages 3-12 years old. A reserved Special Needs session will take place on Sat. June 7th at 2:30 and is open to all anglers with special needs, regardless of age.

Description
The Douglas County Kids' Fishing Derby is a FREE event open to all children ages 3-12 years old. Kids are allowed to catch up to 2 rainbow trout and are provided everything they need to have a fun and rewarding fishing experience. Each child is also given a special gate prize. It is FREE to fish the derby, but Pre-registration is required to receive your entry ticket. Volunteers are also needed to help in all areas the event. You don't need to be a fish person to volunteer for the Derby -- there is a job for everyone. From set up and tear down, food and retail sales, river help and more.
