Speaker: Cindy Sutherland
Cindy will be telling us about Cemeteries of Carson City and Carson Valley. She considers Nevada’s historic cemeteries as outdoor museums and the headstones are the artifacts that remain to tell the story of a community, the people interred there and why they are significant to preserve for future generations. Cindy has worked as an archivist for the Fourth Ward School in Virginia City and the Douglas County Historical Society. Her new book on cemeteries will be available for purchase.
