A vibrant workforce, the ability of business owners to connect and hire qualified local job seekers comes up again and again in discussion of economic vitality for Carson Valley. One of the tools we have at our disposal is Nevadaworks, an agency funded by the Department of Labor specifically to assist Northern Nevada to build and maintain a skilled and qualified workforce.  There are a multitude of ways Nevadaworks can help businesses, (including facilitating skills training for your current employees!) and at our February luncheon, Donna Weidner, the Workforce Liaison for Douglas County, will let you know what those opportunities are.
