This month, we will be joined by Senator James Settelmeyer and Assemblyman Jim Wheeler for their views on the recently concluded Nevada Legislative Session. For the business community the results were a mixed bag, the sunset taxes didn't really sunset and Governor Sandoval somehow managed to get new taxes for education into the code. On the other hand, construction defect reform finally happened and some prevailing wage and collective bargaining changes and were accomplished and a hike of the minimum wage to $15 was avoided. And yes, you can UBER your ride in Nevada now.
There's a story behind all of them, and you'll hear them at the luncheon.
Lunch will be provided by Sierra Gourmet Grill.
Our Business of the Month is Jacobs Family Berry Farm, so expect some sweet raffle prizes as well.
