Take a heavy dose of Americana, add a shot of Country plus a goodly bit of Rock and you have the The California Sons, an Alt Country/Americana/Bluegrass/Something quartet from San Francisco, CA.
The California Sons began in 2008 with longtime singer-songwriter Erik Olsen and acoustic/bluegrass influenced guitarist Eric Schultz. Nate Pease joined on upright bass and adds a jazz influence and a 3rd vocal harmony. With each person in the band coming from a different musical realm, the group has a uniquely blended sound that has made The California Sons a festival favorite.
