GENOA, Nev. – Celebrate spring with a series of history talks, featuring some of Genoa’s infamous local legends, at Mormon Station State Historic Park.
History Talk: The Adventures of Kit Carson - Carson City, the Carson River, Carson Pass, and the Carson Valley - everything in our area seems to be named after Christopher “Kit” Carson. Join a Park Ranger at Mormon Station State Historic Park to learn about the life and adventures of this frontier legend, and hear the stories of the man who left a lasting mark on northern Nevada.
WHEN: Saturday, March 18, 4 p.m.
WHERE: Meet at the museum. Mormon Station is located 20 minutes south of Carson City via Hwy 395, about one hour south of Reno, and approximately 20 minutes from South Lake Tahoe via Hwy 207.
