Holiday Gala at the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center. Visit a Winter Wonderland of exquisitely decorated Christmas Trees nestled in amongst gingerbread houses and snow globes. Take a Selfie with Santa or get a headstart on your holiday shopping at one of Douglas County's last Brick & Mortar Bookstores and receive 20% off your purchases throughout the month of December. Arrive early for the best selection of homemade cookies at the Cookie Walk! After the gala the Douglas County Historical Society invites you to watch the Parade of Lights from their front yard; a great view to a great parade. Festivities begin at 10:00 a.m. December 5.
