Thanksgiving Day dinner specials will be offered in CV Steak and Katie's Country Kitchen at the Carson Valley Inn on Thursday, November 24.  Both restaurants are also serving their regular menu on Thanksgiving Day.
 
CV Steak, the Carson Valley Inn's Nevada-style steak house, is open for dinner on Thanksgiving Day from 3 p.m.  The Diestal Farms Wood-Roasted Tom Turkey special is served with giblet pan gravy, apple and fresh sage herb dressing, mashed potatoes, bourbon-maple candied yams, green bean casserole and orange cranberry sauce.  The Crab, Shrimp and Scalloped Stuffed Fillet of Lemon Sole special is served with rice pilaf and fresh vegetables. Both CV Steak Thanksgiving specials are $22.00 ($9.00 for children under 10) and both include table-side tossed salad, sourdough baguette and choice of pumpkin or apple pie for dessert.    Reservations are strongly recommended for Thanksgiving Day in CV Steak.  Please call 775-783-6650. 
 
Katie's Country Kitchen, the Inn's 24-hour coffee shop, is offering two Thanksgiving Day specials from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.  The Roast Tom Turkey dinner is served with giblet gravy, traditional bread & herb stuffing, whipped potatoes, candied yams, green beans and cranberry sauce for $12.99 ($5.99 for children under 10).  The Virginia-Style Baked Ham Thanksgiving Dinner is served with pineapple raisin sauce, wild rice pilaf and glazed carrots for $9.99 ($5.99 for children under 10).  Both Katie's Thanksgiving entrees include choice of fresh garden salad or Nantucket corn chowder and bakery-fresh bread plus a dessert of pumpkin or apple pie. 
 
The Carson Valley Inn (www.carsonvalleyinn.com) is located on US Highway 395 in Minden, NV near the start of State Highway 88, twenty minutes from Lake Tahoe's south shore and 45 minutes south of Reno.  The property includes a recently-remodeled casino, 152-room hotel, 74-room motor lodge, 59-site RV Park and a convenience store with Shell gas and diesel fuel.  There are also three dining facilities including CV Steak, the Inn's Nevada-style steakhouse featuring steaks, seafood, pasta dishes and more.
