The Moving Wall Project
Description
The Moving Wall, a half-size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C., will visit Douglas County for the second time this spring. The Moving Wall, which has been viewed around the country since 1984, will land in Minden the week before Memorial Day. The Wall will be free to view for the duration of its display at the Eastside Memorial Park in Minden, from May 23rd to the 28th of 2024. The building of the wall will take place at 10:00am on May 23rd, with an opening ceremony taking place at 10:00am on May 24th. On the 26th, there will be a community barbecue at 7:00pm, followed by a candlelight vigil at 9:30pm. A closing ceremony will take place at 7:00pm on May 27th.
